They all make up how we live our life at home and in school. Here at school we face the Habits of the Heart and Mind daily and not realize it. It’s layout on how we work with ourselves and with other people. Here at High Tech High, we use the Habits of the Heart and Mind daily when we do projects. Here are some of the few projects that we have used the Habits of the Heart and Mind.
The whole PATH project has been a part of habits of the heart and mind. Building has been our main goal throughout the whole project. We all had to have the cooperation to work with each others, even if we had different perspective on how we wanted things to go. We still learned to work with each other by showing compassion and mindfulness. We made sure to help our team members and not to get on our nerves from all the stress we could have had. We all put our minds together to think and make something amazing, This group has been amazing. I have gotten along with everyone great! I couldn’t ask for a better group.
Inside Out Journal has also a big goal and project for me. We out compassion in our journal, trying to make every page look good. We share our perspective on our many notes we took. We showed evidence of how we take notes into our real life. We made sure each page is perfect and put our hard work into every page. We become mindful of what we put inside our journal. We make sure everything is correct and make sense. We are still not complete with our amazing journals, but soon all the hard work we put into them will pay off and it will be a work of art and a journal we can look back on or had it down to our children one day.
I think High Tech High is about the habits of the Heart and Mind. We all struggle through life and High Tech High is one of the obstacles through life that we have to face. We learn to overcome and learn what mistakes not to make. We share all the compassion and mindfulness to carry on. To learn to be responsible for our work and learn new lessons to help us in the future. Even if High Tech High has been a obstacles, we owe it to High Tech to making us more mature. One day we will appreciate what High Tech High has taught us and look back at our amazing 3 years coming soon.
