Witness
Witness a thousand people from different races come together for not one death, but for a vision of justice.
170 arrested, all protected by freedom of expression and peaceful assembly under the US constitution.
America isn’t fighting, protesting, shouting, screaming, or crying with them, it’s against them.
Witness America, it’s not Syria or Iraq, but it’s step are leading to a chaotic land with the the injustice, divided government that hold us by strings.
Fabricated lies on how our country is home of the free, but little do we see the prison gates placed by the ones in the white house.
Their army of men in blue who instead of protect us, they force the law and strip us naked of our rights that make us free.
Men in blue just like the flag that’s suppose to remind us of the freedom we have, but instead they are prison guards, and were all guilty of our actions and plans for a vision of justice.
Witness the people who have had enough of a black men who chances of being shot are 27 times higher than a white man.
They aren’t mad, scared, or sad, they are furious as they chant, “ Send these killer cops to jail, the whole damn system is guilty as hell!”
It’s been 2 months, 2 weeks, and endless days of agony for them, how can you not be mad?
They try to blame a robbery for a killing, try to blame the media for unrest, and try to finally blame the poor community for the violence on the streets.
Witness the police, a system to serve and protect the people who work and studied hard to make strive for a greater future.
For many each day is a new day of survival and anxiety not knowing if their sons or husbands will come back home today.
All it takes to see the truth is to turn on the TV and witness the true police brutality.
Tanks are on the streets to protect the police from unharmed protesters whose only weapon is their voice.
But that’s still not enough because they still feel threatened so instead they decide to use tear gas on a vision.
Mcdonald’s milk being used as a medkit so the protestors eyes won’t burn from a devilish scene because they couldn’t get the proper chemicals to get rid of the tear gas.
Their bodies bruised with the wounds of rubber bullets, like the police’s branding as if they own them like labeled victims of society.
Batons and shields just like ancient rome for the use of protecting the citizens of a city, is now being use as a weapon against them.
Witness Ferguson, a city of unrest, but the start of a revolution.
Florissant Avenue is armed to the teeth with police officers whose identity is more like a ghost on the street.
Checkpoints are scattered around town like rubble from a bomb that has manage to kill the hope that all of us thought we had.
Sky clouds replaced with snipers that watch over the whole town.
A mayor full of words without actions and lies without a truth.
A police system dress in inconnect clothes, when underneath they are a cover of lies.
You can now start to understand the violence as it happens.
The people have been dealing with this a long time ago from Dred Scott, Trayvon Martin, and many others, it taken a while for us to notice.
Witness a vision, born from unjustified deaths, but carried on through the people who had enough.
Signs and concerns from people, “How many have to die for others to learn?”
It isn’t a protest anymore it’s a revolution, a cause, a vision.
If they think guns and tanks are going to bring this down, then they better think twice.
Last time I checked a vision doesn’t get brought down.
