"Perseverance"

Overall I really think this internship has really made think and influence what I want to do with my life. I've always had a passion for aviation, but didn't really know how to get started or what role to choose. I went back and forth from thinking about becoming a technician or an engineer. Throughout my internship, it really got to learn the type of work that is required when working on planes and the steps to ulimately take. Thanks to my mentor as well, I've really gotten into pursing the role of an engineer like him, but also having work time as a technician.

I say it's very hard to know when your making a contribution to yourself and your education. There is so much that comes into factor, but for me I found it very easy. I came into this internship knowing very little about the many tools, machinery, and ideals they had. Throughout the whole month long internship I was able to learn a lot about myself and everything else. I never knew I ultimately had the perseverance to stick with the work I'm doing. Like I said, a lot of the work was very new to me, so I was often puzzled at times, but I kept with it. I got to learn a lot about tools and how experience and education come in play in the world of aviation.

To me success was coming in know nothing, but leaving know everything. I've learn so much in this month long internship, that it's probably going to be very hard for me to adjust back to school. I been able to gain so much experience from learning tools, to working independently, and working on planes. When I finally got to work on the wings on of the P-51 (plane they are restoring), I couldn't be much more happy. It truely felt like success at it's peak! Walking away with that experience and knowing I was able to do my part, was overall success to me.

Not only has my internship help me learn and gain experience, but it's also change my view of life beyond school. I thought that once your done with school, you can go on and live the easy life, but I was wrong in so many levels. All work requires hard work and perseverance, no matter if it's fun or not. In the end it's up to you to make the best of it, and do your best to come out forward. During some moments of my internship I was faced with tedious work, but I did my best to keep that motivation of, "Hey, I'm working on an actually plane!" It brought me to the conclusion of being grateful for an amazing internship, and grateful to my parents for doing their best to work hard to make the best out of their jobs for not only them, but for our family.

Throughout my whole internship I really kept an open eye and how my coworkers and my mentor worked. I was very impressed on how professionally they conduct themselves, but also how they make work look so easy. It's something that also kept me very motivated to do my best, so I can look good while working. I believe having those two qualities really stand out, because it's what every one is looking for! They want somebody that conducts themselves in a professional manner, but can get work done. By the last week of my internship, I was able to really look like I was getting my work done without asking my mentor to many questions, and always did my best to remain professional.
